ISD Heritage Centre
}}} Blasting: We Believe - Good Charlotte ~:~:~:~
Went to visit the Internal Security Department Heritage Centre today. During the bus journey, I was mainly listening to the radio while talking to my friends. Then, as we turned into a greatly forested and narrow road, one of my friends made a joke that it was really 'internal'. But that was not exactly where it was. Shall not say any more about its location.
Then, we went into a series of seemingly rundown and old buildings. The ISD Heritage centre was right within it. While it looks dull on the outside, it was rather well furnished inside. First we watched a short video that was rather informative, to say the least. Then, we read about various causes for instability, such as communism and religions. We also saw some devices. They included reinforced glass that can withstand blasts and not shatter, and a blanket that can withstand a bomb blasts.
After a short break, we saw some exhibits on terrorism, such as a suicide bomber's vest, and various types of improvised explosive devices such as book bombs, molotov cocktails, pipe bombs and letter bombs. Lastly we saw other exhibits on espionage. We witnessed how a door may be hidden, how bugs could be placed, how microdot can inscribe an entire passage into a dot the size of a full stop and see a real-life lie detector. That's all for today. Gotta have fun doing my homework. LOL
